Sell or Consign

Offer an Object for Consideration

Archive Mercantile may consider antique, vintage, and storied objects for direct purchase, consignment, or transfer at no cost. We are especially interested in pieces with enduring material, character, craftsmanship, usefulness, documented history, or potential for continued life.

Before You Submit

You must own the object or be legally authorized by its owner to offer it. Please provide accurate information about the object’s condition, known history, dimensions, markings, repairs, odors, pest concerns, missing components, and other relevant details.

Do not provide your exact home address in the initial submission. A general pickup location, such as your city or county, is sufficient.

What Submission Means

Submitting an object is a request for consideration only. It is not an appraisal, consignment agreement, promise to purchase, guarantee of acceptance, or transfer of ownership. Ownership remains with you unless a separate written agreement is completed.

Archive Mercantile may decline a submission without providing a valuation or detailed explanation. Submission does not guarantee a response within a particular timeframe. Any research discussion or purchase offer is not a formal appraisal of market, insurance, estate, or tax value.

No Charitable Deduction

Archive Mercantile is a for-profit business. Objects transferred at no cost are not charitable donations, and Archive Mercantile cannot provide a charitable tax-deduction receipt.

Privacy and Submitted Images

Information and photographs submitted through the intake form may be used to evaluate and research the object and to contact you about the submission. Please review our Privacy Policy before submitting.
